Here’s a bit about me and why I felt compelled to make this my first blog post.

I was an average student, spending most of my time reading handouts cover to cover, only to forget most of the material once I entered the exam hall.

This pattern continued throughout my education until I discovered Coursera’s “Learning How to Learn.”

This transformative 4-week course equipped me with crucial strategies to navigate my journey around cyber security, and it can certainly be applied to any subject you wish to master.

The course provided me with the necessary tools and techniques to effectively approach learning in this complex subject.

My initial apprehension was soon replaced by a growing passion for the field, sparked by a newfound understanding of effective learning methods.

In my deep dive into cyber security, I found myself utilizing the principles I learned from the course.

Overcoming procrastination was key in maintaining focus and momentum.

I practiced simplifying complex concepts into manageable segments, making the subject more comprehensible and less intimidating.

Incorporating sufficient sleep and regular exercise into my routine greatly enhanced my cognitive function.

It not only improved my capacity to absorb new information but also positively impacted my overall wellbeing.

Perhaps the most pivotal change was adopting a growth mindset. This instilled in me a sense of resilience and perseverance, turning challenges into opportunities for growth and learning.

The power of ‘yet’ became my mantra as I navigated the often-challenging terrain of cyber security.

With a lifelong journey of knowledge-seeking ahead of me, I am eager to delve deeper into cyber security and beyond, equipped with an effective learning strategy and an unwavering enthusiasm.
